A-Level is a British qualification awarded to students upon completing secondary school.
The A-Level program is conducted entirely in English, which allows us to welcome not only Russian-speaking students, but also those who speak Armenian, English, or other languages.
The working language of the program is English.

Over the course of two years, students usually study between three and five A-Level subjects. The exact number depends on individual circumstances and the admission requirements of the university they plan to apply to after Year 12.

Subject selection depends on each student’s interests and future goals.
At the start of the program, we offer a choice of the following subjects*:

*The list of subjects will be expanded based on applicants’ requests.

At the Liberated School, we have a strong team, so we are nearly fully staffed with A-level teachers. For example:

• Head teacher of Chemistry: A candidate of sciences with experience working in international schools (IGCSE and IB).
• English teacher: A certified CELTA and DELTA instructor.
• Social Science teacher (History, Sociology, Business): A graduate of the Master's program in International Relations: European and Asian Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

For each subject, students take 3-5 exams. A student can take all exams in one session at the end of their studies, or they can follow a step-by-step approach for each subject: take the first level, Cambridge International AS Level, at the end of the first year, and Cambridge International A Level at the end of the second year.

Students receive an international A-level certificate/diploma, which will reflect the final exam grades. After completing the program and based on the results of the final exams, the applicant can be admitted to university without entrance exams. A-Level exam results serve as the main criteria for admission.

We study in the first shift, five days a week. The schedule includes the core subjects chosen by the student, as well as English. We plan to allocate time in the schedule for independent preparation for seminars, project work, and research assignments. One of the school days will be extracurricular. Students will have the opportunity to engage in social and volunteer projects to enrich their portfolios with extracurricular activities for university admissions.

We are launching a program based on the Federal State Educational Standards (FSES), which will allow students to obtain a Russian school certificate.

The mandatory subjects (Russian language and mathematics) will be studied in depth. Other subjects will be taught at a basic level, providing an understanding of the core concepts and phenomena of each discipline.

The exam format will depend on the orders/regulations issued by the Ministry of Education, Rosobrnadzor, and the Department of Education. In the 2023/24 academic year, the final assessment for students outside of Russia will be conducted as an interim assessment, meaning that annual grades will be recorded in the certificate.

A Certificate of Secondary General Education. This is a standard state-issued certificate awarded in Russian schools upon completion of the 11th grade.
